What glue should I use for plastic model kits?

For standard polystyrene plastic kits, use liquid polystyrene cement (such as Tamiya Extra Thin Cement) for clean, strong bonds. Avoid super glue (cyanoacrylate) on standard plastic kits as it doesn't always bond well and can cause fogging near clear parts. For resin or metal parts, super glue is the correct choice. How long does it take to build a plastic model kit?
