Class 09 D4106 Preserved BR Green (DCC-Sound)
The British Rail Class 09 is a class of 0-6-0 diesel locomotive designed primarily for shunting and also short distance freight trips along branch lines. The 26 locos are similar to the Class 08 shunting locomotives but have different gearing, giving a top speed of 27.5 mph (44 km/h) at the expense of a lower tractive effort. They were introduced from 1959 to 1962 and latterly operated in the Southern Region of British Railways, although some of the class were originally allocated to depots in the Midlands and North before transferring south. Further locomotives were converted from Class 08 in 1992 and, following this and privatisation in 1997, the class has been distributed much further afield.

1:43 Scale Model of a Class 09 Diesel Locomotive decorated in BR (Preserved) livery. This Model Features lots of expertly applied details as based on the prototype, a high level of body detail and excellent running characteristics. This stunning replica of the Class 09 diesel shunter is the ideal addition to any O Gauge layout from late steam era to modern. It features lots of fine details which including sprung buffers, three link couplings and separately added detail parts. There are electrical pick-ups on all six wheels and having a chassis made of tungsten means it is a very reliable model to run on your model railway. A powerful five pole motor drives the six wheels which have been fitted with a rotating coupling rod to add to the detail. The finely applied paint scheme really makes the model stand out and ensures it is a must have for the model railway. These models feature lots of era specific details and markings and lots of external body details as model led on the prototype.

Unattended Deliveries and Returns:
In the event that a customer is not available to receive their order upon any delivery attempts, and the item is consequently returned to us by the courier, it is the responsibility of the customer to cover the costs of re-posting the item.
Should your order be returned due to unavailability at the delivery address during any attempts made, we will contact you to confirm the address details and arrange for re-delivery. Please be advised that we will require payment of re-postage costs before the item is dispatched again.
