The Neptune Mission is a new wooden mechanical model in the exclusive Age of Bravery collection by Ugears. We created this special series to honor the Ukrainian nation and the Ukrainian army who are defending their native land from russian invaders, who launched a war of aggression.
In creating the Neptune Mission model, Ugears designers and engineers were inspired by real events on the night of April 13-14, 2022 when the armed forces of Ukraine sank the flagship of the russian Black Sea Fleet, the cruiser moskva, with two Neptune anti-ship missiles.
The cruiser moskva was the same ship that at the beginning of the war tried to capture the Ukrainian island Zmiinyi, or "Snake Island." When the russians ordered the Ukrainian military to lay down their arms and surrender, the brave defenders told them where to go. The phrase "russian warship go f*ck yourself" has become a catchphrase of this war, and the event was even memorialized on a Ukrainian postage stamp.
The Ugears Neptune Mission model depicts a Ukrainian R360 Neptune missile system firing a cruise missile at the russian cruiser moskva. The missile hits the ship, sinking it. The mechanism of the model is very simple: one gear moves both missile and cruiser towards each other. A sliding guide hole causes the rear of the cruiser to sink. Engraved on the front of the model are the exact coordinates where the flagship moskva, the pride of the russian fleet, sank to the bottom of the Black Sea.
The model kit contains a bonus surprise: a Fidget Trident. This miniature fidget model by Ugears is an original souvenir with simple mechanics and a lug for hanging so it can become a stylish keychain. The trident is the coat of arms of Ukraine, a symbol of its strength, freedom, and indomitable spirit.
Our engineers designed the Neptune mission mechanical 3D puzzle as well as other models in the exclusive Age of Bravery collection for ease of assembly. The mini-model has only 44parts and can be built in an average of 30 minutes. Illustrated step-by-step instructions in 11 languagesUkrainian, English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Japanese, Chinese, and Koreanwill help you complete the build. The kit comes with everything you need for assemblyno glue or other additional tools are required. All parts are laser cut on a plywood board, from which they are easily removed and connected to each other. If any part breaks our support team will send you a new one free of charge.
The Neptune mission mechanical 3D puzzle is a fun entertainment, an original gift, and an inspiring piece of home decor. It was created for everyone who supports Ukraine, the Ukrainian people, and the Ukrainian army in the fight for freedom. It is also a piece of history for model builders everywhere, commemorating a standout episode of the war.
Ugears is donating a portion of the proceeds from each model sold on its international website toward Ukrainian relief, so purchasers of this new special series of Ugears mini-models can know they too are supporting the Ukrainian people in this war.
